If you cannot open a record or complete an action in Sales, the cause is usually your access level, the record’s status, or whether the action is available for that record. Use this guide to troubleshoot Leads, Quotes, Claims, and Approve Quote in 3PM Command.
If an area or record is not visible, ask your 3PM Command administrator to check your access to that area. Access can be limited by area, action, field, or record ownership.
Approve Quote is available only when the Quote has DRAFT status. It also requires access to the approval action. If the Quote has another status, open the Quote details and check the status shown beside its name.
If the Quote is DRAFT but Approve Quote is still not available:
A Quote can be approved only while it has DRAFT status. If someone else has already approved or updated it, refresh the Quote and check its current status before trying again.
When approval succeeds, 3PM Command shows a success message and refreshes the Quote. The Quote may then show ACCEPTED after the required approval process is complete. A Quote with ACCEPTED status cannot be edited. If it has not already been converted, an authorized user can use Convert to Project from the Quote details.
Editing requires edit access and, where applicable, record ownership. In addition, Quotes with ACCEPTED status cannot be edited. Open the Quote details and check its status first. If the Quote is not ACCEPTED, ask an administrator to check your edit access and ownership access for that Quote.
Ask your administrator to check your access to view Claims. Also confirm that you are using the correct 3PM Command account and that you are in the correct account context.
Claim editing depends on both access and record ownership. Editing is also locked for Claims in Approved, Sent, Accepted, or Invoiced status. Only Claims in Entered, Questioned, or Declined status can be changed.
If the Claim is in one of the editable statuses but you still cannot edit it, ask your administrator to check your edit access and whether you are allowed to edit that Claim. If the Claim is locked, use the available status actions or contact the person responsible for the Claim rather than trying to change its values.
These actions depend on the Claim’s status and your access:
If the action matches the Claim status but is still missing, ask your administrator to check access to that action. For a Claim that is already locked, do not create a second Claim to work around the lock; follow your organization’s Claim process.
Only one Claim for a project can be marked Is Last Claim. If another Claim is already marked this way, clear Is Last Claim on that Claim first, then save the Claim you are updating.
Approve Quote requires the Quote to have DRAFT status and requires access to the approval action. Check both before contacting your administrator.
No. Quotes with ACCEPTED status cannot be edited.
The Claim may be locked by its status, or you may not have edit access for that record. Claims in Approved, Sent, Accepted, and Invoiced status are read-only. Claims in Entered, Questioned, and Declined status can be changed when you also have the required access.
The action is available only for Claims with Approved or Accepted status, and you also need access to the action.
No. Only one Claim per project can carry the Is Last Claim setting.
Contact your 3PM Command administrator with the area name, record name or number, current status, and the action you are trying to use. Ask them to check your area, action, and record-ownership access.
