Use Planning in 3PM Command to arrange project work on a calendar, allocate work to Staff, and keep delivery activity visible. You can switch between time ranges, organize the schedule in different ways, move unscheduled work onto the calendar, and review task status.
The schedule opens in view. The available controls depend on the view and schedule arrangement you select.
You can also select a date in the calendar to begin planning work for that date. In Weekly view, select a week range to work with that week.
You can move a scheduled task to another Staff row or another date by dragging it. If a task already has a due date, moving its start keeps the same time gap between the start and due date. Work cannot be dragged in Monthly view, and drag-and-drop is unavailable in views that are not organized by resources or assets.
The task status filter is available in Resource View with Staff selected. It is not shown in Monthly view or in the other schedule arrangements.
Yes. Choose the schedule arrangement for projects. You can also select a project in Unscheduled Task to narrow unscheduled work.
Yes. Choose Resource View, then use Staff. This is also the view that provides the task status filter.
Drag-and-drop is available in Day and Weekly views when the schedule is organized by a resource or asset. It is not available in Monthly view or in arrangements that are not organized by a resource or asset. Completed tasks cannot be moved.
When the task has a valid due date and start date, 3PM Command preserves the time gap between the start and due date when you move the task. If the task does not have a usable date, its due date remains unchanged.
In Resource View with Staff selected, open the task status filter and select Overdue. You can select additional statuses at the same time.
Monthly view is for viewing the schedule. Switch to Day or Weekly view to drag tasks from Unscheduled Task onto the schedule.
