Purchasing in 3PM Command brings supplier information, purchase orders, and bills together so you can follow purchasing from product selection through receipt and cost assignment. Use it to maintain Supplier Products, create and review purchase orders, and process bills. Stock and Work Orders connect to purchasing when a purchase is assigned to stock or workshop activity.
Your available areas and actions depend on your access level. If an area or action is not visible, ask your 3PM Command administrator to review your Purchasing access.
You can also import Supplier Products using the import controls and download the import template. Existing Supplier Products can be exported when export access is available. Archived Supplier Products are hidden unless you turn on the archived view.
Purchasing does not replace the Stock area. Use the Stock area to maintain stock quantities, locations, and inventory activity. Use Purchasing when you need to buy stock:
If you are buying a supplier product for future stock use, maintain the supplier information in Supplier Products, then select the appropriate Stock Item when preparing the purchase order. Review inventory quantities and stock movements in Stock.
Work Orders are managed outside Purchasing. Purchasing supports the cost-tracking connection:
If your workshop uses an external work-order service, follow the connection and access rules configured by your administrator. Purchasing continues to hold the purchase order details, while Work Orders remain in their own area.
Yes. Select one or more bills and use Copy to Purchase Orders when that action is available to you. Review the resulting purchase orders and any skipped items before continuing.
It may be archived, filtered out, or restricted by your access level. Turn on the archived view, clear list filters, or ask an administrator to check your Purchasing access.
3PM Command can populate the Description, Unit Cost, and Unit from the selected Supplier Product. Review the populated values and edit them if your purchase requires different details.
Create a purchase order, choose Stock in Cost Tracking, add an item, and select Stock Item. Complete the order, then use Stock to review the inventory activity.
Work Orders are managed in the Work Orders area, not in Purchasing. Use Workshop in Cost Tracking when the purchase order supports workshop activity.
Those actions require the relevant Purchasing access. Some actions are also limited to the person who created the item. Contact your 3PM Command administrator if you need access changed.
A purchase order can have a shareable view for the supplier. Share the purchase order only with the intended recipient and check that the displayed supplier, Items, totals, Supplier Address, Ship To Address, and Special Instructions are correct first.
