3PM Command uses Asset Settings to control how Assets are configured and managed. From here, you can update asset configuration, create Asset Classes, and maintain the information used when Assets are added and managed.
Your access determines which areas and actions are available. If an area is locked or missing, ask an administrator to update your permissions.
Asset Settings contains these areas:
An Asset Class can include a Class Name, Tags, Asset Type, Meter, and Managers. It can also define financial, costing, and pre-start settings that apply to Assets in that Asset Class.
The Placeholders area includes values such as [Asset Number], [Asset Type], [Asset Class], [Registration Number], [Description], [Make], [Model], [Serial Number], and [Asset Display]. Select the placeholder shown in 3PM Command when you need to use one in the relevant setting.
Select Reset to discard unsaved changes in the current Asset Settings configuration.
The available Asset Type values are controlled by 3PM Command. Examples include Vehicle and Plant. The available Depreciation Model values are Straight Line, Diminishing Value, and Prime Cost. The available Default Charge Out Type values are Wet Hire and Dry Hire, and the available Default Charge Out Duration values are Per Hour and Per Day.
To find an Asset Class, use the search field. You can switch between grid and list views. Depending on your permissions, you can also edit, delete, import, or export Asset Classes.
To import Asset Classes, select the import option and use the Asset Classes import template. Asset Type must be a valid type, and Managers, when used, must match existing Staff email addresses.
For Config:
For a new Asset Class, select Create after completing the form. For an existing Asset Class, select Update. 3PM Command checks the current section before moving forward and checks the form before saving. If a required field is incomplete, complete it and try again.
You may not have permission to view Asset Settings. Ask an administrator to check your Settings access.
Tabs and fields can be restricted by permission. If your account is connected to Drive, some areas may also be managed in Drive and hidden in 3PM Command.
Config controls shared Asset Settings, including General, Placeholders, Pre-start, and Map settings. Asset Classes define groups of Assets and the settings that apply to each group.
3PM Command validates the current section before you continue. Complete any required field or correct the field marked with an error, then select Next again.
Yes, when your permissions allow the action. Select the Asset Class, make the required changes, and select Update. To remove one, choose the delete action and confirm.
Yes. Use the import option in Asset Classes and the Asset Classes import template. Make sure Asset Type values are valid and that any Managers match existing Staff email addresses.
