When you lose your connection, the app can show a compact, read-only snapshot of work and safety information that was synced to your device. This is useful in the field for checking essential details without waiting for service to return. The snapshot is not the complete online detail page, so changes, photos, and linked items remain unavailable until you reconnect.
Getting there
While you have an internet connection, open the detail page you expect to need in the field. This gives the app an opportunity to sync a copy to your device.
Later, open the app when you are offline and select the relevant item from Recently visited or a page listed under Pages with offline data.
If the app cannot open the requested page, it shows Page not available offline. Use Recently visited to return to a page you previously opened, or Sync status to check your device’s sync information.
Key concepts
Cached snapshot: The information shown offline is a locally saved copy. It may be older than the live information in the app.
Synced to your device: A detail is available offline only if its copy was downloaded before you lost your connection. Opening a detail while online is the best way to prepare it for offline use.
Pending sync: If a saved item has this label, it includes a change waiting to be sent when you reconnect. Do not assume the change is visible to everyone until syncing has completed.
Compact detail: Offline detail is designed for quick reference. It does not include the full online page, editing tools, photos, or linked items.
How to view offline details
Open a previously visited or locally available work page.
Select the item you need. The app looks for the saved copy on your device.
Review the title and summary card. Dates are displayed in New Zealand date format, and unavailable values appear as a dash.
Use the back link—for example, All jobs, Calendar, or All time sheets—to return to the relevant list.
The available summary depends on the type of item:
Jobs: status, client, site, manager, and date.
Bookings: status, start and end dates, foreman, site, and description.
Time sheets: date, status, foreman, and hours.
Safety risk assessments: date, status, site, and staff count.
Safety quality incident forms: date opened, status, type, and reporter.
Site inspections: date, status, inspector, and score.
Asset inspections: date, status, and reporter.
Accident incidents: date, status, type, reporter, and summary.
Corrective actions: status, due date, assignee, and summary.
Hazards: category, initial risk, residual risk, and controls.
If the item was not previously synced, the app shows This record isn’t synced yet and explains that you should open it while online so it can sync to your device. The item remains unavailable offline until that happens.

Prepare before travelling to an area with limited coverage: while online, visit the lists and details you may need.
Treat offline information as a snapshot, not confirmation that the live item has not changed.
If you see You’re offline. Viewing the cached snapshot of this record., use the displayed information for reference only.
A detail that is available offline may still be incomplete compared with its online version. In particular, edits, photos, and linked items are available only after reconnecting.
When your connection returns, the app reloads the full page automatically. Wait for the reload before relying on the information as current.
To check whether information has synced, select Sync status. The offline overview also shows how many records are available for each page and when they were last synced.
If no offline pages are listed, reconnect and visit a page such as Daily or Jobs to download data for offline use.
FAQ
Can I view any detail while offline?
No. Only supported detail types with a locally synced copy can be shown. If a page is not available, the app displays Page not available offline.
Why can I see a list but not one of its items?
The list and each individual detail are saved separately. The item may not have been opened or synced while you were online. Reconnect, open the item, and allow it to sync before going offline again.
Can I edit an offline detail?
The offline detail view is a compact reference view. Its full editing experience, photos, and linked items are unavailable until you reconnect.
How current is the information?
It is current only as of the last successful sync to your device. Use Sync status to check sync information, and reconnect before making decisions that depend on the latest details.
What does Pending sync mean?
It means a change is waiting to sync after connectivity is restored. Keep the app open while online and check the sync status before treating the change as complete.
