How 3PM Drive areas fit together

1. Set up People and Assets. Add Users, organise them into Teams, and create the Assets your team operates. Keep Roles and asset details current so the rest of 3PM Drive reflects how your organisation works.
2. Create the inspection approach. Use Forms to create or manage the questions your team needs. Inspection Settings lets you set which answers flag a defect for asset forms or flag the driver for driver forms.
3. Complete and review Inspections. Inspections can be started from the Inspections area. You can also start an inspection from an asset, using its Inspections area. Use Inspection History and Exception Report to follow completed inspections and exceptions.
4. Turn inspection results into maintenance work. Inspection results can lead to Faults & Defects on an asset. Maintenance brings those Defects together with Work Orders, Checklist Items, Service Plans, and Asset Service Schedule information.
5. Plan servicing and track completion. Assign a Service Plan from Maintenance > Service Plans or from the asset edit form. Use the asset’s Service area and Work Orders area to follow servicing connected with that asset.
6. Connect purchasing and Stock to maintenance. Use Purchase Orders for purchasing activity when that area is available in your account. Use Stock to manage stock information used by maintenance, including stock associated with Work Orders.
7. Follow operating information. Use Meter, Fuel, Compliance, and the Dashboard to understand asset usage and operational information alongside maintenance and inspection activity.

How to choose where to start

• You are setting up a new account: Start with People, Teams, Roles, and Assets. Then review Settings and create the Forms your team needs.
• You need to complete an inspection: Open Inspections and choose the appropriate form. If you are working with a particular asset, open that asset and choose Inspections.
• You need to investigate an inspection result: Check Inspection History or Exception Report. For an issue connected to an asset, open Faults & Defects and then continue in Maintenance.
• You need to plan routine servicing: Start in Maintenance > Service Plans or Asset Service Schedule. Then open the relevant asset to review its Service area and Work Orders.
• You need to manage an active maintenance issue: Open Maintenance > Defects or Maintenance > Work Orders. Open the asset as well when you need its Specifications, Meter, Compliance, Fuel, or related history.
• You need to check fuel information: Open Fuel for a broader view, or open an asset and choose Fuel for asset-specific information.
• You need to manage your team: Open People > Users, People > Teams, or People > Roles. Use Users for people and drivers, Teams to group them, and Roles to manage how they work in 3PM Drive.
• You need to work with suppliers: Open Vendors. For maintenance purchasing, use Purchase Orders when it is available to you.
• You need a quick operational view: Start at Dashboard, then open the area suggested by the information you want to investigate.

Tips & things to know

• Use the asset as a central starting point. Its areas bring together Specifications, Service, Inspections, Faults & Defects, Meter, Fuel, Compliance, and Work Orders for that asset.
• Keep asset status current. 3PM Drive displays an asset in service as Active. An asset can also be Out of Service.
• Use the product’s labels when navigating. For example, servicing is organised under Service Plans, Asset Service Schedule, Checklist Items, and Work Orders; these areas support different parts of the maintenance process.
• Review the right inspection view. Use Inspection History for inspection activity and Exception Report for exceptions. Use Inspection Settings when you need to adjust inspection rules.
• Fuel supports spreadsheet exchange. Fuel provides Import from Excel, Download Template, and Export as Excel/CSV. If an import has validation issues, you can review the row-level issues and choose to import only rows that passed validation.
• Access depends on your role and account setup. Some areas may not appear for every user. If your account is connected to Command, Purchase Orders may be managed there instead of appearing in 3PM Drive.
• Check the asset’s Work Orders area for asset-specific maintenance. It distinguishes Open and Completed Work Orders, helping you separate current work from work already completed.
• Start with the information you already have. You do not need to visit every area in order. Begin with the task you need to complete, then follow the linked asset, person, inspection, or maintenance information.
