3PM Estimator opens at Dashboard, where you can review activity across your workspace and move directly to the tools you use to estimate. Use the Dashboard to see project progress, recent estimates, cost-basis coverage, and the actions that need attention.
You can also use the sidebar to move between Projects, Benchmarks, Team, and Settings.
The Dashboard figures are calculated from your workspace’s own estimates. If there is not enough information for a figure, 3PM Estimator displays a dash rather than an invented value.
After you open Dashboard, start with the top actions:
Then review the page from top to bottom:
Dashboard charts appear when the workspace has suitable priced-estimate data. For example, the page can show estimated value by month, where the money goes, and cost per area across projects. Projects without priced estimates do not contribute figures that require pricing.
A cost basis is stored for one Region and Building type combination. Keep Region names consistent so that the same market does not become separate cost bases because of different spellings.
After it is built, review the reference unit costs and the low–typical–high ranges. You can select an estimate in Benchmarks to compare it with the selected cost basis.
Note: Cost bases and comparison figures are AI-generated reference information. Use them as a sanity check alongside your own pricing and local quotes.
A project with no estimate is shown as having no estimates. A project’s displayed total is the total for its latest estimate, rather than a sum of alternative estimates.
Dashboard shows activity and estimating information for your active workspace, including project status, priced-estimate totals, cost-per-area information, average margin, attention items, charts, Benchmark coverage, team information, and Recent estimates.
A dash means the workspace does not yet have enough matching information for that figure. For example, a cost-per-area figure needs priced estimates that state a gross area.
Select Open projects or View all. Projects shows the full list and lets you filter it by status.
Select Add project on Dashboard or Projects, then describe the project and provide any available plans, specifications, or other project documents.
Select Build a cost basis, enter a Region and Building type, check Currency and Area unit, choose a Model, and start building it. You can manage the resulting reference information in Benchmarks.
Yes. Open Benchmarks, choose a cost basis, and select a priced estimate to compare against it.
An estimate is left out when it uses another currency or area unit, or when it does not state a gross area. 3PM Estimator does not convert mismatched values using an invented rate.
Treat it as a starting point for an estimator. Review the scope, documents, quantities, rates, and adjustments before using the estimate for a construction decision.
