3PM Estimator brings your construction work together in Projects, where each Project can contain one or more estimates. From there, you can create a New estimate, review the resulting Estimate, compare priced work with Benchmarks, and manage workspace settings and team access.
Sign in to 3PM Estimator and open the dashboard. The dashboard starts with Welcome back, 👋 and provides shortcuts to common administration tasks:
You can delete a Project from the Projects list if your role permits it. Deleting a Project also deletes every estimate under it, so treat this as a permanent action.
Warning: Deleting a Project cannot be undone. Check that you are deleting the right Project before confirming.
A Project does not need an estimate immediately. A Project without one is shown as having no estimates, while a Project with an estimate uses the newest estimate’s status and total in the list.
If you have permission to manage the workspace, you can delete an individual estimate from the Project page. Deleting an estimate removes its uploaded Documents and estimating conversation as well.
The Estimate opens after it is created. If the Estimate has not been priced yet, 3PM Estimator begins generating it in the Estimate workspace.
The Estimate workspace has two areas:
While reviewing the Estimate:
If generation fails, review the message in Chat, add or correct the Scope, and try again. If the Estimate is still generating, wait until it finishes before editing values.
Yes. Add another estimate with New estimate. Estimates stay together on the Project page rather than replacing one another.
A Project represents the job and holds the location and estimates. An Estimate is one pricing attempt for that Project, with its own Scope, Documents, format, conversation, and generated costs.
Draft means the Project has been created but does not yet have a priced estimate. Open the Project and select New estimate.
The Estimate cannot be edited while generation is running. Wait until the status is no longer Estimating, then use the editing controls in the Estimate area.
No. The Estimate format is fixed for that estimate once it is created. Choose the format carefully in New estimate.
Only priced estimates can be compared. Finish generating the Estimate and make sure it has a total before selecting it in Benchmarks.
Members can create and edit estimates. Owners and Admins can also manage workspace settings and team access. Project and estimate deletion is limited to people with workspace-management permission.
The member loses access to the workspace immediately across 3PM. Their estimates remain in the workspace, and you can invite them back later.
Settings explains the consequences and provides access to the 3PM workspace admin. Deleting a workspace destroys its estimates, chat history, uploaded drawings, and reference cost libraries, and cannot be undone.
