Use 3PM Base Timesheets to record hours, materials, equipment, and Tasks for each pay period. You can review work entries, submit Timesheets for approval, and—if you have approval access—process submitted Timesheets.
You can also open a Timesheet from a project’s Timesheets area. Select a date to view the Timesheets for that day, or open an individual Timesheet to review its work entries.
You can record work, breaks, and travel as separate entry types. Review overlapping times before saving: a work entry cannot overlap another work entry for the same Timesheet.
To update a work entry, open the Timesheet, select the work entry, change its details, and save. You can split a work entry when one block of time needs to be recorded against different work.
Add materials and equipment while creating or editing a work entry:
Add each material separately when different quantities or Units are required. Remove anything that was not used before submitting the Timesheet.
Tasks that are inactive, deleted, completed, or blocked are not available for new work entries. If you are editing an existing work entry, its current Task can remain available so that you can correct the entry.
If the Task you need is missing, check that you selected the correct Project and that the Task is still active. Depending on your access, you may be able to create a Task from the Timesheet form.
Submitting changes the Timesheet from draft to submitted. After submission, it is available for approval and payroll processing. Make corrections before submitting whenever possible. If a Timesheet has already been approved, it cannot be edited.
If you have approval access:
Approved Timesheets are locked for editing. A rejected Timesheet can be returned for correction and resubmission, subject to your organization’s workflow and your access. You can select multiple Timesheets when bulk approval is available, but review the selection carefully before confirming.
Warning: Submitting a Timesheet sends it into the approval workflow. Check the full pay period before you submit.
The Timesheet may be approved or archived. Approved Timesheets are read-only. An archived Timesheet must be restored before changes can be made, if you have access to restore it.
Confirm the Project first. New work entries cannot use Tasks that are inactive, deleted, completed, or blocked. Your access may also limit which Projects and Tasks you can see.
Select a material from the available list, then enter a Quantity greater than 0. The Unit is provided for the selected material.
Yes. Choose the relevant entry type when you create the work entry. Record breaks and travel separately from work so the Timesheet accurately describes the day.
Submit the Timesheet after you have finished checking it. Once it is submitted, it enters approval. If it is rejected, correct the requested details and submit it again when the Timesheet form allows.
Approval controls are available only to users with Timesheet approval access. If you cannot see the approval controls, ask an administrator to review your access.
Bulk approval is available when the relevant controls are shown. Review the selected Timesheets before confirming the bulk action.
