3PM Base’s Client Portal gives Clients a secure place to view shared Projects, access Documents, ask questions, exchange Messages, review Quotes, and choose payment options. Team members can enable access for a Project, invite Clients, and customize the Client Portal’s appearance and web address.
Team members can manage the Client Portal from the Client Portal area of a Project. Account administrators can also open the Client Portal settings to customize the Client Portal and copy its link for Clients.
For team members:
When a Client signs in, the enabled Project appears in Projects. Selecting the Project opens its overview, including the Project Number, Description, Start Date, and Site Address when those details are available.
Team members can make Project Documents available in the Client Portal. Clients can then:
Clients can also select Upload Document, choose an image, PDF, Word document, or Excel document, and upload it to the Project. Files can also be added by dragging them into the Documents area.
Note: A Client can upload one file at a time from the file picker. Dragging and dropping can add supported files sequentially. Files larger than 10 MB or unsupported file types cannot be uploaded.
Open chat from the Client Portal to contact the team. You can:
Chat refreshes while it is open so new Messages can appear without refreshing the page. Use Messages for Project questions and follow-up communication.
Quotes shared for a Project appear in the Quotes section of that Project. Each Quote can show its title or Quote number, total, and currency. If a Quote includes a payment plan, its payment items can be selected for payment.
To share a Quote, team members should share the Quote with the Client from the team’s Quote workflow, then confirm that the relevant Project is enabled in the Client Portal. The Client can review the Quote from the Project after signing in.
For a Credit Card payment, select a saved card or choose Add Payment Method to add a card. You can select Set Default for a saved card, or remove it when it is no longer needed. Select Save Card to keep a newly added card for future payments.
For a Bank Transfer, follow the Bank Transfer Instructions and use the reference number provided. The payment remains Payment Pending until the team verifies the transfer and updates its status.
If a contract is required, review and sign it before selecting Pay Now.
The Project may not be enabled for the Client Portal, or your Client Portal account may not be linked to it. Contact the team that invited you and ask them to check your Project access.
Yes. Open the Project, select Upload Document, and choose a supported image, PDF, Word document, or Excel document. The maximum file size is 10 MB.
The Client Portal provides Download and upload actions for Documents. Editing or deleting a Document is not available from the Client Portal.
Only Quotes shared for a Project appear in the Client Portal. Confirm that you are viewing the correct Project, then contact the team if the Quote is still missing.
The options shown depend on the payment setup for the payment plan item. The Client Portal can offer Credit Card, Bank Transfer, or both.
Some Quotes require a contract. When this applies, the Client Portal asks you to review and sign the contract before payment can continue.
Open the payment method selection area, choose Add Payment Method to add a new card, and use Set Default if you want it selected by default. You can remove an existing saved card from the same area.
Check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you entered the correct email address. If the message still does not arrive, contact the team that invited you to the Client Portal.
Use the Client Portal link provided by your team and request a new sign-in code if that option is available. If the issue continues, ask the team to confirm that your Client Portal invitation is active.
Sign out and sign in again using the invited email address. If no Projects appear, contact the team so they can confirm that the Project is enabled and that your account has access.
Confirm that the file is an image, PDF, Word document, or Excel document and that it is no larger than 10 MB. Try selecting the file with Upload Document instead of dragging and dropping it.
Check that you selected a payment option and that the payment details are complete. If a contract is required, sign it first. For Bank Transfer, follow the displayed instructions. If payment still fails, contact the team that provided the Quote.
Bank Transfer payments remain pending until the team verifies the transfer. Keep your reference number and contact the team if the status does not change after the transfer has been completed.
The team may have changed the Client Portal branding, header image, colors, footer text, or web address. Reload the link provided by the team. If you are redirected or the link no longer works, request the current Client Portal link.
