3PM Base’s Buddy AI Chat helps you work with information and everyday business tasks using natural-language requests. Ask a question, attach a document, request a summary, or ask Buddy to prepare an action for you. Review what it suggests before anything important is changed.
If Buddy AI Chat is not available in your account, it may not be enabled for your account or your role may not have permission to use it.
Ask one clear question at a time. For example:
Buddy uses the current conversation for context, so follow-up questions can refer to information already discussed. Start a new conversation when the subject changes.
You can also select Upload files to attach one or more supported files, including PDF, Word, spreadsheet, text, and common image files. Remove an attachment before sending if you selected the wrong file.
Tell Buddy what you want prepared and describe the result you need. For example, ask it to draft a Project description, prepare a Task, or create a report from information in the conversation.
When Buddy can prepare a record or form, it may show a preview or a button to open the relevant form. Review every pre-filled field, correct or complete the information, and save it in the form. Generated content is a starting point and may need editing.
For Project documents, upload the documents while editing the Project. 3PM Base analyzes newly uploaded documents and can suggest updates to the Project name, description, start date, site address, and construction types. Review the suggestions and apply only the changes you want.
To summarize email correspondence:
The summary can include up to five thread topics in the visible topic list; additional threads are shown as a count. You can select Copy All Conversations to copy the conversation text for further analysis in another AI assistant.
You can also attach a document or paste content into Buddy AI Chat and ask for a summary, key points, risks, open questions, or next steps. Specify the format you want, such as bullet points or a short customer-ready update.
Describe the action you want in plain language. Include the record, the change, and any important values. Examples include:
Buddy may ask you to choose a matching record or provide missing information. Select the correct option when prompted. For changes or deletions, review the confirmation details carefully and choose the option that matches what you want. Do not confirm an action if the record, values, or scope are not correct.
Some actions are presented as recommendations or plans. You can confirm them, reject them, or modify a field before continuing. If Buddy offers a manual option, it opens the relevant form with suggested information; review and save the form when you are satisfied.
Buddy AI Chat must be enabled for your account, and your role must have permission to use it. Contact your 3PM Base administrator if you need access.
Buddy needs more information or needs you to select the correct record. Answer the question or choose the matching option, then review the proposed action.
Actions that change business information may require confirmation. Always review the details shown before confirming. You remain responsible for checking the result.
There is no general undo described for AI actions. If an incorrect change is saved, open the relevant record and correct it using the normal 3PM Base controls.
Your account may have no tokens remaining. Purchase more tokens to continue using AI features. AI can also be unavailable when Buddy AI Chat is disabled or your permissions change.
You can select PDF, Word, spreadsheet, text, and common image files. The file is sent with your request, so make sure it is the correct file before selecting Send message.
Yes. While editing a Project, upload new documents and 3PM Base can analyze them for suggested updates to the Project details. Review the suggestions before applying them.
