3PM Base helps you keep Client, Supplier, and business Contact records accurate and organized. Use Contacts to find records, review related activity, add new records, and keep details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and addresses current.
Open Contacts from the main navigation or from the Contacts option on the Dashboard. Contacts opens to the list view. Select a record to view its details, or use the available actions to view, edit, or delete it.
The list is sorted by name and uses pages when there are more records than fit on the current page. Select a row to open the Contact details.
When you edit a Contact connected to MYOB or Xero, the change may need to be accepted by that service before it can be saved in 3PM Base.
Open the record actions and select Delete. Depending on the record and the available options, you can archive it or permanently delete it. Archived or inactive records no longer appear in the default active list.
Warning: A Contact connected to Xero cannot be deleted from Contacts. Update the record or manage its status in the connected service first.
Use the type tabs to keep different relationships easy to find:
To organize a record, edit it and select the appropriate Client or Supplier option. A record can have both options selected when the same business buys from you and supplies goods or services to you.
For Supplier records, use Sub-Contractor and Capabilities to make contractor information easier to identify and filter. For Client records, use the related Invoices activity to review billing information. For Supplier records, use the related Bills activity to review supplier billing information.
Contacts shows active records by default. Turn on Show inactive, clear the search, and check the relevant type tab or filters. A Client or Supplier must also belong to the current account to appear in its list.
Yes. Select both Client and Supplier when adding or editing the record. It then appears in the Both tab and can have related Invoices and Bills.
A Lead is a prospect that has not been promoted to Client. The Leads tab keeps those records separate from Clients.
The Client and Supplier lists show active records only. Check Contacts with Show inactive enabled if a record may be inactive. Also check that the record has the correct Client or Supplier type selected.
You may not have permission to delete Contacts, or the record may be connected to Xero. Xero-connected Contacts cannot be deleted from Contacts. You can also choose to archive a record instead of permanently deleting it when that option is available.
The Contacts search checks the record's name, email address, and phone number. Use filters for record type, Status, Sub-Contractor, Integration, and created date.
A connected MYOB or Xero account may have rejected the new or updated details. Review the message, correct the Contact information, and try again. You can also check your access if the action is not available.
