3PM Base brings Email Threads and Conversations together so you can read correspondence, exchange Messages, share Attachments, and keep up with replies in one place.
Open Communications from the area where you access Messages in 3PM Base. To review email correspondence linked to a person, open that person’s record and choose the option for Email Threads or Attachments. To exchange Messages with people in your account, open Messages from the communications area.
The labels and available people can vary with your account. If you cannot see Messages or a person is not available to contact, ask an account administrator to check your access and the person’s account details.
Email Threads are ordered with the most recently active first. The source identifies whether the Email Thread came from Gmail or Outlook. Email Threads are read-only in this area: use Messages when you need to start or continue an internal Conversation.
Messages can be exchanged in one-to-one and group Conversations. New Messages appear in the open Conversation, and an unread count appears on Conversations with Messages you have not read. When a Conversation is open, incoming Messages are marked as read automatically.
A Message can contain up to 5,000 characters. A Message does not need text when it includes an Attachment.
You can select up to 10 files at once. Each file can be up to 50 MB. Supported file types include PDF, Word, plain text, Excel, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, and ZIP files.
Image, PDF, and text Attachments can be previewed in 3PM Base. Other file types can be downloaded.
Warning: Confirm the recipients and selected files before sending. A Message that has been sent cannot be edited from the Conversation.
Conversations are ordered by latest Message activity. A Conversation with new unread Messages can return to your list even if you previously hid it. Group Conversations show the participant count.
Yes. Select one or more Attachments and send the Message without entering text.
You can share up to 10 files at once. Each file can be up to 50 MB.
No. Image, PDF, and text Attachments can be previewed in 3PM Base. Download other file types.
New Conversations use the people available in your account. The person must have an active account connection available for Messages. If the person is not listed, ask an account administrator to check the person’s access.
Open Messages and look for the unread count beside a Conversation. Select the Conversation to read its incoming Messages. You can also select Mark as unread when you want to return to it later.
Communications lets you read Email Threads and their Messages. To exchange new Messages in 3PM Base, use a Conversation in Messages.
